Bio

Hi! My Name is Andi. I do different things that are somehow related to music, sound and subculture.
Currently I work mostly as a sound engineer, facilitator and organiser of live shows at a place called Neue Zukunft in Berlin, Germany. Previously I also actively played music myself in different Bands, mostly with a strong DIY-background and ethic, touring extensively all over Europe and putting out several albums and releases.
Some of my projects also involved sound design for theatre as well as sound art installations involving immersive, multi-channel audio or generative composition. I have an academic background in Psychology as well as Sound Studies and Sonic Arts, which has ended up informing and inspiring many aspects of my work. Mostly along the lines of the implications of technology and the socio-political aspects of sound, music and the contexts of their reproduction.
