Andreas Sommer is a musician, sound engineer and artist living and working in Berlin. Informed by his background as a touring musician and facilitator of DIY music in different venues and non-commercial spaces as well as his studies of psychology at the Humboldt University in Berlin, his interest lies in the subversive potential of sound and its interaction with societal as well as personal themes. His artistic practice revolves around interactive sound installations and music for different media, exploring topics of agency, technology and psychological phenomena using dynamic feedback systems as well as other generative and algorithmic approaches.
